Faith. Forms. Life.

We have fun, but life can be tough...

Connected, yet deeply alone

The Wink Movement was born from a journey of walking alongside people through life's challenges and celebrations. For more than twenty years, our founder has worked in the field of human development, helping individuals and teams grow and flourish. Along the way, one truth became increasingly clear: beneath questions about work, relationships, and success lies a deeper longing, for meaning, purpose, and a faith that shapes everyday life.

Creating a safe space for everyone

This longing was not only something we observed in others; it was something we experienced ourselves.

Although surrounded by loving family, friends, and faith communities, we often struggled to find spaces where we could simply be vulnerable, ask honest questions, seek wisdom, or wrestle with life's questions without feeling we needed to have everything together.

and this is why we started

The Wink Movement grew from this shared experience and the conviction that spiritual formation happens best in authentic community. Today, our founder is completing a PhD in Public Practical Theology, exploring how the church cultivates spiritual and religious capital for social development, bringing together years of practical experience with thoughtful theological reflection.

We have fun, and are discovering...

a way of life abundant

Christian spirituality is learning the dance of life with God. Rather than separating theology from everyday life, we allow it to become the music that shapes our decisions, relationships, and practices. Theology is not something we merely believe, or study, it is something we live. The Wink Movement exists because many Christians receive information about faith, but little guidance in how faith is actually formed and practiced in everyday life. Christian practices are the things Christians do together over time as they respond to basic human needs in light of God's active presence and His work in the world.

Abundance?

What if we've confused a lifestyle of abundance with the abundant life Jesus promised? They are not the same. A lifestyle of abundance often teaches us to accumulate, consume, and always want more. The abundant life invites us into freedom, where our needs are met, our desires are rightly ordered, and our hands are open rather than grasping. Christian formation is learning to practice this way of abundant life.

How we do this...

We create guided spaces where individuals and small groups can explore Scripture, reflect deeply, and practise living with purpose in their homes, relationships, and communities. Together we learn how to grow, cope with life’s challenges, and discover the quiet fulfilment that comes from stewarding our lives well.

Why choose us

you'll join a community that learns to live differently

1. Our core: Jesus

We focus on Jesus' teachings, while cherishing the Old Testament and the riches of the whole Bible. Solus Christus (Christ Alone), Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone)

2. Personhood

We do not sell information, we cultivate formation. At the heart of every journey is Christian personhood formation: who you are and how you live with purpose and meaning. Sola Fide (Faith Alone), Sola Gratia(Grace Alone).

3. Community

We thrive on authenticity, and how community, though sometimes fragile and imperfect, can be the exact space for healing, joy, encouragement while participating in the Kingdom of God on earth. Soli Deo Gloria (Glory to God Alone)

Frequently Asked Question

Feel free to Ask

Can I do the journeys alone?

Absolutely. Many participants choose to walk the journeys individually, reflecting quietly in their own rhythm. You also have the option to join occasional webinars or share the journey with friends or small groups if you wish.

How much time will I need each week?

We have the three journeys, and they are bundles consisting of various of modules. Each module is designed to fit into everyday life. Most participants spend about 30 - 60 minutes a week engaging with the material and reflecting (one module per week). You can go at your own pace, spiritual formation cannot be rushed. You are also welcome to purchase only one module at a time without purchasing the whole bundle.

Do I need prior experience or knowledge of the Bible?

Not at all. Our journeys are designed for anyone who wants to reflect, grow, and explore their faith. Whether you’re just beginning or have been studying Scripture for years, each journey provides gentle guidance to help you engage at your own pace within your every day life.

Do I need to belong to a church to join these journeys?

No. While we deeply value the fellowship and encouragement that come from being part of a local church, we also recognise that this is not always possible for everyone. Some people live far from a church community, have demanding life circumstances, or are in seasons where regular attendance is difficult. These journeys are designed to create a space where you can still engage meaningfully with Scripture, reflect on your faith, and continue your spiritual journey.

If you do have access to a church community, we always encourage nurturing those relationships alongside the journey.

What Christian tradition are these journeys rooted in?

The founder was raised within the Reformed tradition and continues to value its thoughtful engagement with Scripture and faith. At the same time, she listens to the wider voices of the Christian church and seeks to reflect prayerfully on them in light of the Bible.

Scripture remains the ultimate foundation for everything we explore. As written in 2 Timothy 3:16, all Scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching, guiding, and shaping our lives. The journeys are therefore rooted in Scripture while welcoming Christians from different traditions who are seeking to grow in faith and live more intentionally.

Our journeys are designed to help you grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18), step by step, at your own pace.

What makes these journeys different from a Bible study?

While Scripture is central to every journey, the focus is on formation rather than only information. It is bible study where each journey invites participants to reflect, practice, and integrate what they discover into their daily lives, connecting faith with relationships, work, stewardship, and personal growth. It’s less about completing a study and more about learning to live what we believe.

Can the journeys be done in a day or two?

Our journeys are designed to unfold slowly, giving space for reflection and integration into daily life. While the full experience cannot be compressed into a day or two, you are welcome to only purchase a module of the Mindful or Steward Shift, the Exodus shift however is part of a community project and we invite people to help us build the experience.

What if I can’t attend a webinar or in-person event?

No problem. Webinars and events are optional. The journeys are seperate and can be experienced fully online at your own pace. Webinars and in-person events simply offer additional connection and reflection opportunities.

Can I request a private or group event?

Yes! We love creating spaces for reflection and growth with groups. If you’d like a private webinar or in-person session for your friends, small group, or organization, simply email us directly to send you the details and arrange it.

How we understand Spiritual Formation

where the rhythms and priorities of discipleship shape a slower, more attentive, and more neighbour-centred way of life

"For a long time, I was hesitant about the word "spiritual." It sounded too mystical to me. Over time, however, I came to realise that it points to one of the most beautiful gifts we have."

Adri Dörnbrack

"Spiritual formation, to me - as a very private person - is an everyday awareness. Whether I walk or run in the mountains, listen to music, work, spend time with friends and especially when looking at my family..."

Hein Dörnbrack

"It looks different for everyone, and each person is at a different place in their journey. However, at its heart, it is about abiding in Christ and learning how to do this while busy with life."
